The Council
The Political Arm of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation
The Couva/ Tabaquite/ Talparo Regional Corporation is managed by the Chairman of the Council, who is assisted by the Deputy Chairman and twelve (12) Councillors. The Council operates in the capacity of a Board of Directors which formulates policies with respect to the Region and makes decision on infrastructural work to be taken.
The Council currently comprises of representatives from three political parties - The United National Congress (U.N.C), The Congress of the People (C.O.P) and the Peoples National Movenemt (P.N.M).
